Terms of service
Last updated: June 12, 2026
These terms govern your use of Calla Care. They're written to be read — if anything is unclear, ask us and we'll explain it in plain language.
1. What Calla Care is
Calla Care provides AI-powered companionship and wellness check-in calls for older adults, arranged by their family members. Calls are conducted by an AI companion (“Clara”), and the service produces summaries, wellness trends, and alerts for the account holder.
2. What Calla Care is not
Calla Care is not a medical service, and it is not an emergency service. Clara is a companion, not a clinician: she does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or medication guidance. Wellness observations are informational and are not a substitute for professional medical care or supervision. In any emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) — do not rely on Calla Care.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 to create an account, and you are responsible for activity that happens under it. Keep your login credentials secure and your contact information current — alerts can only reach you at the details you provide.
4. Consent of the person receiving calls
By adding a loved one to Calla Care, you confirm that you have their consent — or the legal authority — to arrange recorded check-in calls and to share their personal information with us. Clara is always honest about who she is and why she is calling, and if your loved one asks us to stop calling, we will honor that request and notify you.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Calla Care is billed monthly in advance at the rate of your chosen plan. You can upgrade, downgrade, pause, or cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we do not charge cancellation fees. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Calla Care to call anyone without the consent described in section 4;
- Use the service to harass, deceive, or harm anyone;
- Attempt to access other families' data or interfere with the operation of the service;
- Resell the service without our written agreement.
7. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. It is part of these terms.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
We work hard to make Calla Care reliable, but the service is provided “as is.” Calls can fail for reasons outside our control — phone networks, busy lines, missed answers — and AI conversation and analysis can make mistakes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Calla Care's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical. On termination, data is handled as described in the privacy policy.
10. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we will email you at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Calla Care after that date means you accept the updated terms.
